Rear Door Repair & Repaint
This rear door had a rotten lower panel where years of standing water and weathering had got into the timber. Rather than replace the whole door, we cut out the damaged section, fitted a new marine ply panel and made good the surrounding joinery so the repair sits flush and solid.
Once the carpentry was sound, the door and frame were fully prepared, primed and painted in a durable grey exterior finish. Masking around the glazing kept the lines crisp, and the original ironmongery was reinstated once the paint had cured.
A repair like this costs a fraction of a full door replacement and, done properly, is just as weathertight. It's a good example of the kind of practical, no-nonsense carpentry we do across Essex — fixing what can be fixed before reaching for a full replacement.
