New-Build Structural First Fix

Structural first-fix carpentry on a new-build project — timber ceiling joists and metal furring channels installed to take the plasterboard ceiling, alongside the brickwork and general build going on around it.

Getting the first fix right, level and properly spaced is what everything after it depends on. Once the ceiling's boarded and finished, none of this structural work will ever be seen again — but it's what holds the finish up.
